On 26 April 2026, a delegation of around 20 participants from the Brahma Kumaris Global Peace House, including youth and centre members, visited the iconic Rainbow Warrior in Mauritius, a ship of Greenpeace Africa known for protecting oceans and the environment.
The group was warmly welcomed onboard by Ms Gulsha and Mauritian Greenpeace volunteers. They were given an informative tour of the ship and introduced to the diverse crew members from different countries such as Portugal, Thailand, France, Turkey, Fiji, South Africa, Argentina and others. This beautiful mix of nationalities reflected unity for a shared global cause.
A special highlight of the visit was a creative “trash to music” presentation by local artist Kan Chan Kin, who used waste materials to spread awareness about environmental protection in a unique and engaging way.
During the visit, Mr Rex Andoh, Campaign Manager for Youth in Africa at Greenpeace Africa, interacted with the group and invited Sister Gaitree to share her thoughts. She spoke about the strong connection between environmental pollution and mental pollution, reminding everyone that the outer world reflects our inner state.
As a gesture of gratitude, the Brahma Kumaris group presented a symbolic artwork to the Captain and crew. The visit concluded with blessings and a heartfelt group photo.
The message of the visit was clear: Clean minds create a clean world.
