The KalpTaruh initiative was conducted in collaboration with Deloitte India on the occasion of Deloitte India Impact Day at Nungambakkam, Chennai. The programme was co-ordinated by BK Chitra Didiji and BK CA Manikandan, Former Director, Deloitte India, with the enthusiastic participation of 57 volunteers.
The event focused on peace, work-life balance, and spirituality. Interactive discussions helped participants reflect on core values such as compassion, cooperation, and forgiveness and their role in personal and professional life. An encouraging message was shared by Mr. Rajesh Srinivasan, Partner – Direct Tax, Deloitte India, inspiring the integration of values in daily work.
As part of community engagement, volunteers visited a school for the deaf and blind and learned about its mission and achievements. A guided meditation session created a deep sense of calm and clarity, while a tree-planting activity with school children promoted environmental responsibility.
The programme fostered meaningful collaboration between volunteers and the community, leaving participants with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to value-based living.
